Recipe: Tuna and Shirataki Noodles

Ingredients

  • 1 pound package Shiritaki Noodles
  • 1 cup red bell pepper — julienned
  • 1/2 cup carrot — grated
  • 1/2 cup frozen green peas — thawed
  • 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
  • 1 can solid white tuna in water — drain and flaked (7-1/2 ounce can)
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse the Shirataki Noodles thoroughly.
  2. Combine Shirataki Noodles and next 5 ingredients in a bowl; toss gently.
  3. Add dressing; toss well.

Shirataki Noodle Salad w/ Creamy Italian Dressing

Recipe: Shirataki Noodle Salad w/ Creamy Italian Dressing

Ingredients

Dressing

  • 8 ounces creamy Italian dressing
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil flakes
Salad
  • 1 pound Shirataki Noodles
  • 2 cups chopped fresh vegetables*
  • 1 cup tuna, chicken or seafood cooked or canned
  • Lettuce for salad plates

Instructions

  1. *Vegetables can include all or some of the following: broccoli or cauliflower florets, fresh tomatoes, carrots, sweet pepper, green onion, zucchini or summer squash.
  2. To make the dressing, put all ingredients in a large decanter, mixing well. Refrigerate.
  3. Toss Shirataki Noodles with vegetables and tuna, chicken or seafood.
  4. Add a little more dressing.
  5. Serve on lettuce-lined plates.

Shirataki Noodles w/ Spinach Sauce Salad

Recipe: Shirataki Noodles w/ Spinach Sauce Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (2-8 ounce packages) Shirataki Noodles
  • 1 pound fresh spinach
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 gloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup lite soy milk
  • 1/2 cup non-fat italian dressing
  • 1/4 cup parsley — chopped
  • 3 tablespoons onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 cup mushrooms — sliced
  • 1 cup carrots — diced
  • 1 cup cucumbers — diced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes — halved
  • 1/2 cup yellow or green pepper halved (or both)

Instructions

  1. Trim and wash spinach, place in saucepan with some water clingling to the leaves. Cover and cook over medium heat until wilted, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Drain off water. set aside.
  3. Drain and rinse Shritaki Noodles in warm water.
  4. Place next 7 ingredients in a blender jar. Add spinach and process until smooth.
  5. Place next 5 ingredients and Shirataki Noodles in a large bowl.
  6. Add blended dressing and toss to mix.
